            Audience I Think This Magazine Addresses Based on my analysis of the covers, feature spreads and table of contents I have put together a certain audience which i think this magazine addresses. And that audience is younger people. Their logo says "On a mission to empower young people."   After analyzing several covers I have concluded that their audience also includes open minded people because most of their covers and issues generally have realism portrayed through their action shots and gritty subject matter. Their table of contents attract younger people because their attention is not only drawn to the dramatic and block capital subheadings but also the bizarre image centered in the middle.                  Vice Magazine Researched Audience   Vice magazine's motto is "On a mission to empower young people." On their website it says this. According to their media kit 70% are aged 18-34 get on VICE digitally. There is a 60/40 male to female ratio. 78% has a higher education degree. 55% of the audience digitally works full-time. And lastly 1 in 6 loves everyday luxury. This magazine is for a more mature young audience that love realism and the straight facts and no cutting corners. They don't like beating around the bush and get interested in explicit content that grabs their eyes.   Vice distributes their physical and digital magazines through subscriptions that consumers buy to receive the monthly VICE magazine. Codes and conventions of "Vice" Cover       Jonathan Gonzalez          To further contemplate how I will design my magazine, I have chosen to use Vice magazine's cover as a reference. Vice magazine covers over controversial topics, current affairs, information on cultures and arts, and a good chunk of that is what I will be covering in my magazine. I will be covering over different magazine covers and analyzing their codes and conventions.            To start off, This magazine cover of Vice has symbolic codes that give away what will be spoken about in this issue of Vice. The setting takes place in Afghanistan, a location where a current US war is being fought.
