Magazine Cover       For my Magazine Cover, I took a picture of AJ (Owner of UNPHASED) as the cover from the bottom of the stairs to show how he is at the bottom of his career and is slowly making his way to the top. Additionally, I used VICE as a base for my magazine since i'm a fan of their magazine and the way they format it. They have a simple cover with just their normal title with bizarre cover pictures like my cover showing a random teenager with purple camouflage pants, who could this be? Moreover, there is a direct mode of address at the bottom left to let the reader know what the main cover issue will be about. Magazine Cover Photo     For my magazine cover photo itself, it's a photo of AJ Galeri, the owner of UNPHASED. I chose this cover photo because I also made the decision to choose him as the main story for this magazine.      Furthermore, when I took this picture I thought that the staircase was the perfect spot to take this cover picture at. Reason being, the stair case acts as symbolism for how his brand is just starting at the bottom but he's gonna make it to the top of the stairs one day and everybody who supports his brand will be waiting for him. Also, the death stare he is giving at the camera is to show he means serious business and isn't playing around.          Moreover, some could say that I could of improved the shot by possibly doing a low shot to show how he's a big dog, but the whole point is that he's not a big dog he's just trying to make his way up and isn't phased by the process. Magazine   Cover creation          To start off, for my magazine cover I decided to use a picture I took of AJ at a staircase wearing his brand's shirt. In addition, this makes it the perfect cover page to talk about my most important story too, UNPHASED. UNPHASED is a clothing brand started by a 15 year old kid who designs his own clothes.             Furthermore, in creating this cover I went into Photoshop first to create my title. I created my title on photo shop instead of indesign because it's much easier to make a banner or font on photoshop than it is indesign. I used the text tool to simply create the text itself as a base. Not to mention I used Century Gothic font in order to fit the theme of the main story of the magazine, and also added shadow and strokes to give it more of that Gothic feel.         Moreover, I added sad faces to the title to also fit the theme of the main st...

Photo Editing        To start off, I worked wanted to work on a little photo editing with one of the pictures I took from the UNPHASED Photoshoot. I picked this picture in particular to tell a story and I basically edited the photo to become my Magazine Cover.       My first editing procedure was to change the saturation on the grass to make the greens more vivid, and the hue in the sky's to make the blue's more vibrant. This change allows the picture overall to emphasize the nature around AJ and the beautiful scenery he's surrounded by.      My next step on photo editing was the cover title, I made the title use Century Gothic font and put my own spin on the AGE OF DECADENCE logo for this specific issue of the magazine to fit the main issue of the magazine that's covering UNPHASED. Photo Shoot          The city that never sleeps. The city with vibrant culture and beautiful beaches, Miami. In Miami there's a place called Little Havana that is full of Cuban culture and it's usually full of life with teenagers everywhere up to no good spray painting everywhere but I found a graffiti that caught my eye. It was a graffiti of Dwayne Wade outside of a local smoke shop. I looked more into this and the artist actually reached out to the owner to paint it on his shop in order to welcome back Dwayne Wade, who was coming back to the heat.        I was intrigued by the talent of the artist that drew that graffiti, and quickly began taking photos because It's amazing how some people use their talents on drawing pieces of art work in a city to help build its culture and name. Photo Shoot Planning       To start off,  I was thinking of going to Little Havana for my photo shoot. Little Havana is a place thriving with Cuban culture and the youth walking around and causing trouble. In Little Havana there is a lot of graffiti and I wanted to do a story on the graffiti of Dwayne Wade outside the shop of Primo's Smoke Shop, I want to take a picture of it and write about whys and the whats about it.       Additionally, I'm also planning on taking pictures of this Presidente grocery store that has a picture of all the people that have been caught stealing, while in the act since this helps to provide an article for a local grocery store and what methods they implemented to deter further criminals.
